Tired of lost time? 5S techniques can help you find things faster.

Synopsis:

The Apply 5S Techniques in Manufacturing (Blended-SFW) course is strategically designed to help companies and their employees reclaim lost time and profit through a disciplined, systematic approach to workplace organization.

Are you losing hours every week searching for misplaced tools, or re-ordering parts you already have in stock? This module moves beyond “just cleaning”—it utilizes the globally recognized Japanese 5S methodology to transform chaotic, high-risk shop floors into precision-run, high-performance environments.

By shifting from a “panic-clean” culture to a permanent standard of excellence, this course empowers participants to:

  • Stop the “Search-Time” Drain: Organize every tool and document so they are found in seconds, not minutes.
  • Eliminate Redundant Costs: Gain full inventory visibility to stop the expensive habit of buying what you already own.
  • Prevent “Near-Miss” Accidents: Clear the clutter that causes workplace hazards, ensuring a safer environment for everyone.
  • Impress at First Sight: Maintain an “audit-ready” facility that gives clients and inspectors immediate confidence in your quality.

Course Outcome: Individuals who successfully complete the course and demonstrate competency in the assessments will be awarded a Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore and a Certificate of Participation from ELITC.
