    Study Modes & Durations

    This programme is available in two study modes:
    • Full-time | 6 months
      | Classes are scheduled on weekdays, 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM
    • Part-time | 12 months
      | Classes are scheduled 3 sessions per week, available at the following times:
      -  Weekdays: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM / 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM / 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM
      - Weekends: Flexible 3-hour sessions

    Entry Requirements:

    ✅ Applicants who are at least 18 years of age must satisfy at least one of the following requirements:
    • Minimum 3 GCE ‘O’ Level passes (at least C6) in Mathematics and any 2 subjects or equivalent qualification; or
    • Nitec with GPA >= 3.5 or equivalent qualification; or
    • Higher Nitec with GPA >= 2.0 or equivalent qualification; or
    • Minimum 1 GCE ‘A’ Level passes (at least D) or equivalent qualification; or
    • Diplomas from other recognised local/overseas polytechnics or other PEIs
    ✅Applicants without the stated qualifications are welcome to apply – you will be assessed via ELITC’s Technical Entrance Test and/or interview to confirm suitability for the course.
    ✅ Mature applicants (≥30 years) with ≥3 years relevant experience will be considered case-by-case
    ✅ Free from colour appreciation deficiency

    Language Proficiency:

    • Applicants who do not meet the above English Language requirements are required to pass in ELITC English Proficiency Entrance Test and/or an interview to be conducted by ELITC.

    Assessment Overview

    Assessment combines continuous and end‑of‑module evaluation to measure both knowledge and practical ability:
    • Written / Quizzes - Test understanding of principles, concepts and calculations
    • Practical / Projects - Hands‑off tasks, design work, simulations and applied problem‑solving
    • Participation - Engagement in discussions, exercises and teamwork

    Passing Criteria: Minimum 50% overall per module
     

    Important Policies

    • Attendance: Full‑time — 90% minimum; Part‑time — 80% minimum. Low attendance disqualifies you from assessments.
    • Deadlines: 10% mark deduction per late day; submissions beyond 3 days not accepted.
    • Re‑assessment: One re‑sit allowed for failed components; result capped at 50%. Second failure requires repeating the full module.
    • Academic Integrity: Plagiarism or collusion leads to zero marks and disciplinary action.

    Certification

    Complete all 9 modules within 2 years of registration and pass every assessment to receive the Diploma in Applied Advanced Manufacturing Systems.
    A Statement of Attendance is issued if you meet attendance requirements but do not complete all assessments.
