Student
Protection Scheme (SPS)
ELITC hereby confirms and
undertakes to the students that it has in place a Student Protection Scheme (the
"SPS") as stipulated by the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE)
by way of a Student Tuition Fee Account (Escrow) pursuant to the terms and
conditions of the CASE-PEO Agreement.
This SPS is available to local
students in the event they choose to opt into the SPS.

Confidentiality Statement
ELITC
is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of every student's
personal information and undertakes not to divulge any of the
student's personal information to any third party without the prior
written consent of the student or required by law.

Course
Withdrawal and Refund of Fees
Fees are payable upon confirmation of
courses. Students withdrawing after the commencement of courses are liable
to pay fees regardless of their attendances.
Refund of payment will be determined by the
effective date of the withdrawal. The refund policy is as follows:

E-Learning
Service
Students taking the NITEC Electronics
(Computer & Networking) course will be issued each a username and
unique password to enable them to access e-Learning. Students who do not
own a computer at home or do not have access to computers at their work
places can use the facilities at ELITC to access their e-Learning.

Student
Attendance
For international students,
according to the Immigration Act (Chapter 133), Regulation 21 - Security
Bond, they must not be absent for a continuous period of seven days or
more or that the percentage of attendance for the course in any of the
month is 90% or below without any valid reason. Otherwise, they shall
surrender the Student's Pass for cancellation.
If a student is unable to
attend school due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, ELITC must be
informed. For medical reasons, ELITC accepts medical certificate from a
registered medical practitioner, on condition that the medical certificate
must reflect the date that the student was absent.

Employment
Full-time students are
strictly not allowed to engage in any form of employment, whether paid or
unpaid, or in any business, profession or occupation in Singapore during
the validity of the Student's Pass unless with consent in writing from the
Controller of Immigration. Violators will be prosecuted by law.

Accommodation
ELITC's Student Services
Department assists its international students to find accommodation while
they are studying at ELITC.

Student
Counselling Services
ELITC supports student welfare and provides
convenient needs where possible. Our extended services include
counselling, loaning of tools and other general services like lost and
found etc.
If any of our students need a helping hand
or just need someone to talk to, the counsellors at the office are always
ready to offer them a listening ear.

Career
Prospects
Most students of ELITC are
employed in the electronics manufacturing workforce. Students who graduate
and obtain the full NITEC Certificate in Electronics (Computer &
Networking) have more opportunities to advance their career to supervisory
positions. Moreover, their knowledge and skills can help to add value to
their organisation.
