Serving Training Needs in MedTech Sector Through WSQ Qualified Courses

 

Sector Overview

The Medical Technology sector is an important part of Singapore's fast-growing biomedical sciences industry.

To date, Singapore has attracted various large MedTech companies to establish commercial operations, research and development centers as well as manufacturing facilities.

Medical products are subject to stringent regulations given the need to protect public health and safety. Therefore, a key consideration for medical device companies is the need to provide training for the workers with strong emphasis on compliance and quality.

Courses Inception

Multiple-party co-operation among ELITC, e2i and employers concerned were started in April 2010 to address the training gaps, with final collaboration and endorsement from WDA.
