Human Resource Development (HRD) Committee

The HRD committee was formed in December 1998 with more than 25 members, mostly from electronics companies.

The main objectives of the Committee are broadly defined as: 
  • Provide a network for HRD professionals on HRD development trends and issues within the Electronics Industry
  • Improve the field of HRD
    • Leverage with external bodies and other relevant bodies on HRD issues.
                        -  Such as WDA, SDF, ITE, MOM, NTUC Skills Development Dept, training institutions, etc.
    • Act as a resource pool for interested member companies to leverage on HRD resources / programs available from member companies.  
  • Share their interests and concern
    • Assist to identify and collate HRD concerns and needs of member companies.

headed by an EXCO comprising of a Chairman, a Vice-Chairman and an Honorary Secretary.

 

From the year 2008, the EXCO members are:

- Mr Toh Tuck Wai (STMicroelectronics Pte Ltd); Chairman of HRD Committee;
- Mr Chan Weng Ng (ELITC); Hon Secretary of HRD Committee;
- Ms Marrina Koh (PerkinElmer Singapore Pte Ltd); Member of HRD Committee;
- Mr Seah Sin Chye (STATS ChipPAC Ltd); Member of HRD Committee;
- Miss Ivy Ho (Amkor Technology); Member of HRD Commitee

Meetings are held bi-monthly and member companies take turn to host the meeting.
