This module is one of the elective units in all sectors and functional areas of manufacturing industry. It specifies the skills and knowledge required by people to supervise workplace safety and health practices in their workplaces.

On completion of this module, learners will acquire the required competencies to supervise work processes improvement in their workplaces. 

1. Plan workplace safety and health activities

2. Implement safe work practices

3. Maintain workplace risk control measures

Practical and oral/written assessments are conducted at the end of the training module.

Supervisors working in the workshop or in the manufacturing industry

After successful completion and assessment of the module, participant will be awarded Statement of Attainment (SOA)

- Have received safety training related to their workplaces;

- Have related training or work experience in their workplaces;

- Have basic competencies in handling common hand tools;

- Able to follow written and oral work instructions;

- Able to listen, read, speak and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ESS Level 5; and

-  Able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ESS Level 5
