The
PLC is the heart of all automated control system. With a controlled
application program in running, the PLC monitors the input status of the
process and controls the output status based on a pre-determined
requirement. The PLC is used to control a simple and repetitive task. It
can also be connected to other controllers or computers to control a
more complex task.
Course Objective
On completion of this
course, learners will be able to select the appropriate control devices
for an automated machine in accordance to the system requirement.
Course Outline
Interpret
the control system correctly to meet the operational system
requirements.
Select
appropriate PLC I/O interface devices to meet the system operational
requirements.
Identify
PLC models to meet the system operational requirements.
Select
appropriate tools and equipment are in carrying out the tasks.

Practical performance and
oral/written assessments are conducted at the end of the training.

Skills & Knowledge

basic knowledge of computer;

requirements;

Able to listen, read, speak and write English at a proficiency level
equivalent to ESS Level 5; and
