This module aims to provide people already working or wishing to enter the manufacturing industry with the skills and knowledge required to apply WSH policies. It is a systematic approach that workers can use to make incremental and breakthrough improvements in processes that produce products and services for customers.

 

Course Objective

On completion of this module, learners will have the knowledge and application skills in carrying out planning of daily work to meet WSH requirements, identifying and monitoring of hazards, complying with WSH requirements and implementing risk control.

  1. Plan daily work to meet WSH requirements

  2. Identify and monitor hazards

  3. Comply with WSH requirements

  4. Implement risk controls

Course Assessment

Practical and oral/written assessments are conducted at the end of the training module

After successful completion and assessment of the module, participant will be awarded Statement of Attainment (SOA)

 

Assumed Skills & Knowledge

-  Have a basic knowledge of the manufacturing sector;

-  Completed PSLE and are able to speak, read and write basic English; or 

-  ESS Level 3; and

-  Able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ESS Level 3
