This course is designed for workers with Primary or lower
Secondary education or had since left school for some time. It provides
them with a refresher course on basic mathematical calculations and
introduces them to formulae used in electronic computations as they
progress into Nitec in Electronics. |

At the end of the course, participants will be able to
perform simple calculations used in electronics.

addition, subtraction, multiplication & division;

improper fractions, conversion to decimal places and vice versa;

Coded Decimal System (BCD)

Conversions
(binary, octal & hexadecimal to decimal; binary to octal &
hexadecimal)

4-operators
in binary, octal and hexadecimal number systems;

Simple Logarithmic
Calculation;

Algebra and First Order
Linear Equations; First Order Simultaneous Equation;

Trigonometry (Pythagoras
theorem - sine, cosine and tangent; angular calculation.)

A Certificate of Participation will be issued to those who
attained a minimum attendance of 75%.
