ELITC is
appointed by ITE as a Skills Assessment Centre (SAC) to conduct tests in
SET Level 1 Electronics & SET Level 2 Electronics (Computer &
Networking).
Test
Schedule
SET Level 1 test
-> conducted every month.
SET Level 2 test
-> 3 times a year in April, September and December.
Candidates must
register with ELITC for the tests.
Eligibility
for Skills Evaluation Test
The test is
available to all Singaporeans, Permanent Residents & non-citizens with
valid work permits who fulfill the eligibility criteria for the test.
SET Level 1
Electronics
To register for
the SET Level 1 test, an applicant must satisfy the following
requirements:

Has at least 2 yrs of relevant work
experience; and
- Passed Screening Test.
SET Level 2
Electronics (Computer & Networking)
To register for
the SET Level 2 test, an applicant must satisfy one of the following
requirements:

Minimum of 3 yrs relevant working experience
after obtaining SET Level 1 or NTC-3 Practical; or
- Minimum of 5 yrs relevant working experience
and passed screening test.
Screening
Test
An applicant for
the SET Level 1 or 2 Electronics has to take a screening (qualifying) test
if he/she is not a registered apprentice or trainee following an approved
course or training programme.
The purpose of
the screening test is to ensure that anyone who has applied to take SET
Level 1 or 2 tests is adequately prepared for the test.
The duration of
a screening test is 30 minutes and the applicant has to answer some
questions on the basic knowledge of the trade.
The applicant
will be informed of the screening test result immediately after the test.
If successful, he/she can register for the trade test on the same day or
at a later date, but not exceeding 1 year from the date of the result of
the screening test.
