This programme prepares foreign workers employed by electronics companies in Singapore to upgrade them to a higher level of skilled workers and technicians.

For foreign workers to acquire a higher level  of skills in computer and networking.

Theory

Summary on theories and practice questions on:

- Electrical & Electronics Principles
- Analog & Digital Electronics
- Communication & Industrial Electronics
- Microcontroller Applications
- Computer & Industrial Control
- Networking & Communications

Practical

- Construct and troubleshoot analog & digital electronic circuits
- Interpret and test microprocessor circuits and interface a microprocessor to    
  input/output devices
- Install software and configure microcomputer system and test a microcomputer 
  system
- Install and test microcomputer peripherals which include modems, printers, CD 
  ROM, sound card & monitor
- Set up a peer-to-peer network and configure the network for sharing of files or 
  resources

For Whom

Foreign workers with the following:

- Minimum of 3 yrs relevant working experience after obtaining R1 work pass;
- Minimum of 5 yrs relevant working experience and passed a screening test.

Language of Instruction

This programme can be conducted in ENGLISH or MANDARIN.  

Certification

Participants are to register to sit for the SET Level 2 Electronics (Computer & Networking). Upon passing the test, they will be awarded ITE's SET Level 2 in Electronics statement of result.
