English is commonly used in the working environment today. Knowledge of English will allow two-way communication to be much easier and instructions to be carried out more accurately and effectively. This will avert costly mistakes in production due to misunderstanding and misinterpreting instructions.

This course is designed for participants to improve the quality of their English conversational skills and understanding of English by providing some basic concepts of the English language and allowing the participants to practice what they have learned, including writing of simple messages.

Course Objective

To develop communication competence by acquiring the ability to understand, speak, and write in English, which is not only correct but also appropriate in situations in which it is used.

Course Outline

This course focuses on written English at approximately Secondary 1 standard. It is for entrants who need to improve on written English.

Certification

A Certificate of Proficiency will be awarded to trainees upon completing and passing both oral and written tests. Otherwise, a Certificate of Participation will be issued to trainees who attained a minimum attendance of 75%.
